LANGKAWI: The Frenchman spotted with a pink wristband at the Langkawi International Airport yesterday has been ordered by the health ministry to undergo quarantine at the Ayer Hangat health clinic here.
Langkawi district police chief Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said the man was sent to the clinic and not allowed to undergo self-quarantine at his rented house at Pantai Cenang.
The 64-year-old man was detected wearing a pink wristband on his arrival at the airport here from KLIA, where he underwent a Covid-19 test upon arrival from Doha, Qatar.
Although he tested negative for the virus, he is required to visit the Kedah Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre on Sept 1 before getting a second swab test the next day.
