Rizal who graduated from the Imperial College, University of London in mechanical engineering and has a Masters degree in business administration from Charles Sturt University, Australia, joined SME Corp on June 1, 2016

As chief officer of implementation and monitoring, in charge of overseeing the planning and implementation of SME development programmes in Malaysia, he was assigned to high-profile projects involving electrical and electronics key economic areas (particularly in LED, Semiconductor, Solar and Industrial Electronics), innovation, nanotechnology, electric vehicles, rail and smart grid.

“Having extensive experience of more than 20 years in both the public and corporate sectors, Rizal will undertake to steer and further strengthen the operations and services of SME Corporation in progressing and developing SMEs in Malaysia,” MEDAC said.
