PETALING JAYA:
The Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department today saved a crane-driver who was trapped when his 26-tonne machine toppled over at Alam Damai, Cheras.

In a statement today, the Kuala Lumpur operations centre said it received a call this morning and sent personnel from the Cheras and Bandar Tun Razak fire stations to the location.

The victim, a 28-year-old Malaysian, suffered a fracture on his left leg and was sent to the Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia for treatment.

Highway concessionaire Prolintas later said the crane was travelling towards Taman Len Sen, Balakong, when the accident happened.
