Senior Minister for Security Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that these individuals have to undergo the mandatory 14-day quarantine.
They came from Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Brunei, Qatar, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, India, the United Arab Emirates, Japan, Turkey, South Korea, Iran, Bangladesh, China and Australia.
“They have to pay the full cost of the quarantine, including the cost for Covid-19 tests,” he said.
The government made it mandatory for those who enter Malaysia to undergo the two-week quarantine at specific centres.

Ismail also said police yesterday issued 597 compound fines to individuals who had breached the recovery movement control order (RMCO).
He said they were among 617 people arrested yesterday. The remaining individuals, who were not fined, were remanded.
“Among the offences these individuals committed were going to nightclubs (331 individuals).
“Others were also involved in activities that made social distancing difficult,” Ismail said.
Meanwhile, the minister said police had set up 67 roadblocks across the country and inspected 34,224 vehicles to stop illegal immigrants entering the country.
“Yesterday, the Immigration Department arrested one foreigner for breaching immigration laws,” Ismail said, adding the enforcement agencies will take stern action against those who try to enter Malaysia illegally.
He also said police were still monitoring fake news.
“Up to July 25, a total of 266 investigation papers were opened by police and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission.
“From the number, 172 are still under investigation, while 30 of them have been prosecuted in courts,” Ismail said.
