At a press conference, health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said 12 patients recovered yesterday, bringing the total number of patients discharged so far to 8,538.
Only 77 cases were active.
He said three patients were being treated in the intensive care unit (ICU), with one requiring respiratory assistance.
There were no new deaths, with the toll remaining at 122.
Elaborating on the new cases, Noor Hisham said one was an imported case while another two cases involved foreign nationals.
Of the two local infections, one was detected in a foreign national who was screened at the Jalan Duta immigration depot prior to being transferred to another centre.
“Tests were carried out on the other 26 detainees (at the depot), with 25 testing negative and the result of one more person pending.”
The other foreign national who tested positve for Covid-19 is a worker who was screened at his work place in Sarawak.
Meanwhile, Noor Hisham also announced a new cluster at Mambong, Sarawak, where two cases have been detected. Another 68 people are being tested and their results are pending.
