Kuala Lumpur police chief Mazlan Lazim said a 60-year-old motorcyclist was arrested at Taman Lagenda Mas in Cheras. Police seized 21,400 Eramin-5 pills from him.
Another 400 Eramin-5 pills were found during a subsequent raid on his house in Taman Connaught.
The man’s 56-year-old wife and 30-year-old son were also arrested. The total value of the pills is RM328,140.
Mazlan said the couple were unemployed.
In a separate raid on Friday, police arrested two men in a car along 5th Mile Old Klang Road after finding 3.3kg of cocaine worth RM600,000 in the vehicle.
“This cocaine was not meant for the local market. From our intelligence, it was heading for Taiwan,” Mazlan said.
All the five suspects tested negative for drugs.
They have been remanded for six days to assist investigations under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, which carries the death penalty upon conviction.
Police last week also announced the arrest of three men on suspicion of being involved in drug trafficking after seizing 47kg of various drugs worth RM2 million in several raids around the capital.
