Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the ministry had recorded five new cases so far, with no information on how it started.
“A patient was brought in for acute respiratory infection to Serdang Hospital and tested positive for Covid-19 on June 5.
“An active case detection found two grandchildren and three family members, who live in the same house, were also infected with the virus,” he added.
Another person who lived elsewhere in the area also tested positive, he added.
The cause of the infection has yet to be determined, he said, adding that it could be due to the result of visits.
