Noh Omar resigns as MISC chairman

His resignation comes 17 days after he was appointed as chairman on June 1.

KUALA LUMPUR:
MISC Bhd today announced that Noh Omar, who was appointed as chairman of the board of directors on June 1, had tendered his resignation with effect from June 17.

“Noh Omar made the decision to tender his resignation upon discussion with the prime minister,” it said in a statement.

It said Noh wished the board and management all the best in taking the company to greater heights, while they likewise wished him the best in his future endeavours.

MISC is a world-leading provider of international energy-related maritime solutions and services.

The principal businesses of the group comprise energy shipping and related activities, owning and operating offshore floating solutions, marine repair and conversion, engineering and construction works, integrated marine services, port and terminal services, as well as maritime education and training.
