Residents of 7 homes in Bukit Antarabangsa ordered to vacate after landslide

About 40 told to leave after cracks appear on walls.

The landslide in Taman Kelab Ukay, Bukit Antarabangsa, was believed to have occurred following continuous rain in the area.
KUALA LUMPUR:
Residents of seven double-storey terrace houses in Taman Kelab Ukay, Bukit Antarabangsa here, have been ordered to vacate following a landslide early today.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Hafisham Mohd Noor said about 40 occupants in the seven houses had been instructed to leave after cracks appeared on the walls of their homes.

The landslide was believed to have occurred following continuous rain in the area.

Hafisham said the occupants would not be allowed to return until the local authorities decide on the next course of action.

He said the department was alerted of the incident at about 2.20am and its personnel arrived at the scene some 10 minutes later.
