PETALING JAYA: Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said another Covid-19 patient has died, bringing the total to 10.
He also said there were 123 new cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of infected people to 1,306 nationwide.
The latest fatality is a 74-year-old man from the Sri Petaling mosque tabligh convention cluster.
Among the new batch of confirmed cases, 74 patients were traced to the tabligh gathering held late last month, where a large number of infections have been reported.
Noor Hisham said 46 patients are currently being treated in the intensive care unit (ICU), with 22 cases needing respiratory assistance.
He said 25 patients have recovered, bringing the total number discharged so far to 139.
