Water plants back in operation, says Air Selangor

Water supply had fully recovered as of 7am, with only a few areas in Kuala Selangor and Klang affected by the three-hour suspension.

PETALING JAYA:
The four water treatment plants in Selangor affected by odour pollution resumed operations as of 10.30pm last night, according to Air Selangor.

It said water supply had fully recovered by 7am today, while only a few areas in Kuala Selangor and Klang were affected by the three-hour suspension.

“Air Selangor has also mobilised lorry tankers to areas that are still affected,” it said in a statement today.

The four plants suspended operations at 7pm last night.

In July last year, the four water treatment plants were also shut down after diesel contamination was detected.
