KUALA LUMPUR:
Investigations into an anti-narcotics raid on a condominium in Puchong last month involving Dengkil assemblyman Adhif Syan Abdullah and 16 others will be completed soon, according to Deputy Inspector-General of Police Mazlan Mansor.

“We will have a decision soon; so be patient,” he told reporters at a press conference at Bukit Aman here today.

Adhif was suspended from his position as Selangor PPBM Youth chief to facilitate the police investigation into the case after he was named among the 17 people arrested during the raid on Jan 12.

According to police, they were arrested on allegations of drug abuse and gambling activities.

Adhif, who is also the Dengkil assemblyman, had denied that he was among those arrested but admitted that he was at the site of the raid when it took place.

He also reportedly said that he was at the “wrong place at the wrong time”.

PPBM has maintained that it will wait for the cops to complete their investigations before taking action. PPBM chairman Dr Mahahthir Mohamad said the party cannot punish anyone before a court decision.
