IPOH: Manjoi assemblyman Asmuni Awi has been retained as Perak Amanah chairman for the 2019-2022 term.
Sungai Rapat assemblyman Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin keeps his position as deputy chairman, and Muhaimin Sulam and Fakhruldin Mohd Hashim as vice-chairman 1 and vice-chairman 2, respectively.
The results were announced by national Amanah election committee chairman Zulqarnain Lukman at the Perak Amanah convention here yesterday.
There are four new faces in the state Amanah committee – Larut division head Mohd Nazri Din, his deputy Razali Ismail, Kuala Kangsar division head Ahmad Termizi Ramli and Ipoh Timor committee member Halilah Hamidun.
A total of 186 delegates from 22 Amanah divisions in Perak attended the convention, opened by party deputy president Salahuddin Ayub.
Forty-five candidates contested for 17 posts in the state committee.
