Muhammad Saifullah Muhammad Hafeiz, 16, died on the spot in the 6.30pm incident.

The bus, which was not carrying passengers at the time, also crashed into another car carrying a woman and her two children. They survived the crash and were taken to hospital for treatment.

According to footage from two dash cams, the 49-year-old bus driver had been driving at high speed on the left turning lane of Persiaran Kelicap.

The bus barrelled across the road, hitting Saifullah and the woman’s Suzuki car, which was stopped at the traffic light on Jalan Dato Ismail Hashim. It then crashed into the backyard of a corner-lot house.

Southwest district police chief A Anbalagan said the bus driver is being investigated for reckless driving under the Road Transport Act 1987.

He said the bus driver tested positive for methamphetamine when his urine was sent for analysis. He was also found to have no licence to drive a bus.
