PETALING JAYA:
Syarikat Air Darul Aman (Sada) has sent water tanks to the Padang Meha Estate, near Sungai Karangan, Kedah, after residents complained that their water supply was cut off last week.

FMT received information from Kedah Menteri Besar’s secretary Mohd Khairil Othman that immediate action was taken to ease the situation at Padang Meha.

“Extra water tanks have been supplied by Sada,” said Khairil in a text message.

Earlier today, residents of Padang Meha estate camped outside the menteri besar’s office, asking him to intervene in the water cut issue and the land dispute between the residents and Vintage Development Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of MBF Holdings that currently owns the land.

It was alleged that the water supply cut was a move by the developer to evict them from the land.

FMT was also informed that there will be a meeting between the menteri besar’s office, Sada and MBF to find a resolution to the issue on Oct 8.
