In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, TH Plantations said the decision was made after it evaluated Azman’s response to a show-cause letter.
“After due deliberation, the company has decided to dismiss the CFO from office. A letter to that effect has been sent to the CFO today,” it said.
It was previously reported that the company suspended Azman and issued him with a show-cause letter over findings from a recent forensic audit which have yet to be revealed.
In the interim, TH Plantations said its finance assistant general manager Marliyana Omar and finance senior manager Hamidah Hassan will carry out the responsibilities and functions of the CFO.
Azman, 53, had been appointed to the position in 2010.
