SUBANG JAYA: The government is proposing to set up a parliamentary select committee to curb fake news on social media, says Communications and Multimedia Minister Gobind Singh Deo
“People ask for media freedom, but what about limits?
“Communications go out every minute. How do you control them? The ministry needs to take action, but how do you do that?
“So, we are studying models by other countries,” Gobind said during the forum.
This committee will advise on how the government should move ahead when it comes to issues which deal with social media, he said.
