PETALING JAYA:
Police today ordered Farhash Wafa Salvador, the political secretary to PKR chief Anwar Ibrahim, to turn himself in to facilitate their probe into a fight at a sports complex on Saturday.

Selangor CID chief Fadzil Ahmat said they had failed to trace Farhash, whom they identified as one of the suspects in the brawl.

“We are ordering him to turn himself in,” he said in a statement.

Police yesterday revealed that the fight took place at Arena All Stars Sports Complex at Taman Dagang Permai, Ampang, and involved 12 to 14 men.

The trouble began when the victim was confronted by a man at about 9pm and a jostling match ensued. The complex management then asked both of them to leave the area.

The victim went to the motorcycle parking area outside the sports complex and was confronted by a group of 10 men.

The victim was attacked with a helmet, knife and chair. He was injured in the waist and groin.

Police said three of the victim’s friends later came to his aid.

Farhash later denied any involvement in the incident and said he was willing to give his full cooperation to the police if needed.

Fadzil said three of the suspects, aged between 26 and 35 years, had turned themselves in. The trio, who are Muay Thai trainers, will be remanded.
