
“We also did not receive any third party’s application who wants contest the lawsuit,” deputy public prosecutor Mahadi Abdul Jumaat told the court today.
Hasan’s lawyer Muhammad Iqbal Ismail said his client did not object to the suit.
Judge Zaini Mazlan set Dec 4 to 5 to hear forfeiture suits by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) against Umno, Wanita MCA, Sabah Umno and two companies, Binsabi Sdn Bhd and Perano Sdn Bhd, who allegedly received 1MDB money.
They are among 41 individuals and organisations who MACC said received a total of RM270 million from Najib Razak’s bank account.
Mahadi said a federal gazette was issued on July 24 to call third parties to contest the suit but no one had come forward.
Zaini instructed the prosecution to file submissions before Sept 27 and for the five others to respond by Oct 18.
