The officers, who remain on active duty, are facing a total of 14 charges for accepting bribes totalling RM10,900 from lorry transport companies between 2016 and 2018, with the lowest bribe amounting to RM400.

The bribes were allegedly given to stop enforcement action against lorry companies.

The officers pleaded not guilty to the offences under Section 16 (a)(B) of the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission Act 2009 with an alternative charge under Section 165 of the Penal Code.

The six charged today are Aminorrofee Rais (bribery amounting to RM4,150); Muhammad Faisal Salleh (RM1,800); Abu Ubaidah Yacob (RM2,000); Azrul Faiz Md Saad (RM400); Mohd Sarwani Mohd Nor (RM1,150) and Mohd Yusri Jusoh (RM1,000).

Sessions Court judge Nizam Zakaria set Sept 12 for mention.
