Mohamad Azreen Jumri, who is the Perlis PAS secretary, accused preacher Muhammad Zamri Vinoth Kalimuthu, who is close to Asri, of being a hypocrite, saying he had several times depicted state PAS leaders in a bad light.
“We are surprised that Zamri was given the opportunity to talk. We feel that should not have been allowed,” he said in his speech at the PAS Youth Muktamar here today.
He said Zamri had previously accused PAS of being behind the sacking of imams, and claimed that PAS was undermining the Malay rulers.
His speech comes a day after the head of the Perlis chapter of PAS’ cadet wing Jabatan Amal threatened a walkout over the party’s move to invite Zamri to speak.

Amirul Jufri Mat Saman warned PAS against Zamri as well as Asri, saying party leaders in the state were familiar with the duo.
Amirul Jufri’s dissatisfaction is believed to be linked to accusations against him in the wake of an arson attack on Asri’s official car in March.
