In a half-a-minute video uploaded on Facebook at about 3am today, Muhammad Haziq Aziz also named the person he was with, a senior federal minister who is also a PKR leader.
Haziq said the video, which he claimed was recorded without his permission, was taken on May 11 at Hotel Four Points in Sandakan, during the recent by-election there.
Haziq also urged the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission to investigate the minister.
“He is not a qualified to be a leader,” he added.
FMT has contacted the office of the senior minister named by Haziq and is awaiting a response.
The video confession is likely to throw the year-old Pakatan Harapan government into its first major scandal.
Yesterday, Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad said he had not seen the clips.
The clips, accompanied by the sound of a foreign news bulletin, have been circulating on WhatsApp since yesterday.
