
“It is the responsibility of the menteri besar (Ahmad Faizal Azumu) and the Pakatan Harapan leadership to resolve this issue. I have no say in the matter,” he told reporters after a bubur lambuk programme organised by the Perak state education department here yesterday.
“As far as I know, there will be no changes. Things remain at status quo. We are all representatives of the party. If we are told to go, we go. We are team players,” said Aziz, the Tebing Tinggi assemblyman who is in charge of the education, science, technology and environment portfolio.
His comments come amid speculation that he will be replaced by PPBM’s Sungai Manik assemblyman, Zainol Fadzi Paharudin.
Also rumoured to be facing the axe is Public Utilities, Infrastructure, Agriculture and Plantation Committee chairman Abdul Yunus Jamhari of PKR. He will reportedly be replaced by Hulu Kinta assemblyman Muhamad Arafat Varisai Mahamad.
