Touch ‘n Go, in a statement today, denied issuing cards featuring the PKR president and urged the public to source for information from legitimate channels.
“Customers are advised to refer to official Touch ‘n Go (pages) in Facebook and Twitter @MyTouchngo to know more about our latest products and services,” it said.
Several Facebook postings show the “Anwar Ibrahim edition” card as being sold at RM50, RM150 and RM250 per piece, with further postings calling on the government to abolish tolls.
The postings further said the cards were available at Touch ‘n Go counters.
The smart card company further advised people to be wary of such claims and to contact it in case of enquiries.
