PETALING JAYA: The fuel price of RON97 has risen for the third time, this time going up by a sen from RM2.80 to RM2.81 a litre, the finance ministry said today.
The prices of RON95 and diesel remain unchanged, at RM2.08 and RM2.18 a litre.
The pricing takes effect from 12.01am on Saturday (April 27) to May 3.
Under the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM) formula, RON95 and diesel should have been increased by one sen per litre and two sen per litre respectively.
The weekly fuel pricing mechanism was reintroduced on Jan 5 under the APM.
Under this system, weekly fuel prices are announced every Friday and remains in force for one week.
