
KUALA LUMPUR: The federal government today tabled a supplementary supply bill seeking an additional RM4.133 billion for the federal budget, with the largest allocation totalling RM1.92 billion being channelled to an item listed as “Statutory Funds”.
The second highest amount of RM705.59 million was for the health ministry and RM513. 9 million for the home ministry.
The Prime Minister’s Department has asked for RM215.4 million, while the education ministry sought RM300 million.
Another RM98.46 million is earmarked for the Election Commission.
The Supplementary Supply (2018) Act 2019 was tabled today by Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng.
Every year, the government tables such supplementary budgets after tabling the federal budget.
