Central Seberang Perai police chief Nik Ros Azhan Nik Abdul Hamid said Chong Eng’s service centre door at Taman Betik Manis here was sprayed with the words “Cina p*****k” in white paint.

Nik Ros said the exco’s assistant lodged a police report.

He said police are looking at footage from nearby closed-circuit television cameras.

The case is being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code for committing mischief and causing damage which carries a three month-jail term or a fine upon conviction.

Chong Eng is the Padang Lalang assemblyman and Women Development, Family, Gender Inclusiveness and non-Muslim Religions committee chief.

She is also the national Wanita DAP leader.

When contacted, Chong Eng said she was not at her service centre and was shocked by the incident.
