Called the “Clean Energy Collaboration” (CEC), the conference is to find the best pathway for power generation in the country.
The topics covered by the speakers and panelists will be wide-ranging, from domestic and commercial to industrial power supply in urban and rural areas.

The CEC is organised by NGOs SAVE Rivers from Sarawak, Jaringan Orang Asal Semalaysia ( Network of Indigenous Peoples of Malaysia) and PACOS Trust and is supported by the Renewable and Appropriate Energy Laboratory, University of California, Berkeley, the United Nations Development Project and the Sarawak Convention Bureau.
The lead organiser of the CEC is SAVE Rivers which was founded in 2011.
Since its inauguration, SAVE Rivers has been advocating for indigenous rights, particularly those related to mega hydroelectric dams, according to a press release from the organisers.
