PETALING JAYA:
Former Kota Tinggi MP Noor Ehsanuddin Mohd Harun Narrashid was today charged at the Johor Sessions Court with accepting bribes.

The Star reported that the former Felda Global Ventures Holdings Bhd board member was charged with accepting RM50,000 from Karya Hidayah Sdn Bhd, a printing company, on Sept 6, 2013.

The 56-year-old is also charged with accepting a plot of land said to be valued at RM180,000 from the same company on March 23, 2014.

He claimed trial to both charges.

Ehsanuddin was arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) yesterday.

He is alleged to have used his position to propose and approve the appointment of a printing company, in which he is said to have an interest, in publishing the 1Suara newsletter from 2012 to 2015.

This project is believed to be valued at more than RM13 million.
