State Education, Technology, Science and Environment Committee chairman Abdul Aziz Bari confirmed this and said checks jointly conducted with the state Education Department found that the pupils were in stable condition.
“The pupils have all undergone checks at the Manjoi health clinic and their conditions are not serious and they have been allowed to go home,” he said in a statement here today.
Abdul Aziz said the Health Department and the state Education Department were investigating the case.
It is understood that the pupils suffered food poisoning after eating fried rice in the school canteen during the recess period at 10am.
