Moey’s elder brother, who only wanted to be known as Dennis, said the family accepted what had happened but hoped the authorities would leave no stone unturned.
“We leave it to the police, and hope we can be given privacy to mourn our loss,” he told reporters after arriving at the forensics department of the Seberang Jaya Hospital here last night to claim Moey’s body.
He also urged the public against making baseless speculations on what had happened, or disturbing the investigation.
He said the funeral would be held at the Berapit Chinese Cemetery on Thursday.
In the incident which took place at about 3am, the Mazda CX-5 which Moey, 20, had been driving was involved in a collision with a Toyota Vios. It then plunged into the sea from the bridge.
The search and recovery team was only able to raise the wreck at 6pm yesterday.
