KUANTAN:
The Barisan Nasional-led Pahang state government said a state-owned 4WD vehicle it loaned to a deputy minister had been abused by Pakatan Harapan (PH) who used it for its by-election campaign in Cameron Highlands.

Pahang state secretary Salehuddin Ishak said the vehicle was loaned to a ministry for the official use of a deputy minister.

“However, after being affixed with several logos of a political party, I have ordered the vehicle to be returned immediately,” he said in a statement.

He was responding to questions posed on social media about the image of the vehicle bearing the red PH logo.

PH is hoping to wrest the Cameron Highlands parliamentary seat from BN on Jan 26.

The picture was also shared by former prime minister Najib Razak.
