KUALA LUMPUR: An Amanah leader says there is nothing to panic over the influx of former Umno leaders and members into PPBM, as long the objectives of New Malaysia are not sidelined.
“The concept of New Malaysia is bigger than any Pakatan Harapan component party, or PH itself,” said Amanah vice-president Mujahid Yusof Rawa.
He said PH parties should instead accept the new members with an open heart.
“Why do they have to panic? Isn’t openness part of the new concept? Or have we lost trust in our component partners?” he asked.
He said PH would not be able to stop any of its component parties from growing, but the leadership still has every right to ensure the concept of New Malaysia remains a priority.
