IPOH: The payment method for the National Higher Education Fund (PTPTN) will be announced next month, said its chairman Wan Saiful Wan Jan.
He said the announcement would include details on the repayments to be made based on salary cuts and individual income tax rebate for the National Education Savings Scheme (SSPN).
He said the PTPTN was waiting for detailed information before drawing up the implementation plans after the announcement by Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng on the PTPTN allocation and a new PTPTN loan policy when tabling Budget 2019 recently.
“I feel that when they (PTPTN borrowers) hear this announcement, they will see how (to pay back the loan).
“…because we have ensured that those with low income are helped first and it will not burden their lives with high payments as what is important is that the borrower pays back the loan,” he said.
