Lawyer files MACC reports against tycoon, Perak MP

Khairul Azam Abdul Aziz says the anti-graft agency must investigate a property tycoon's 'confession' that he had given millions of ringgit to Pakatan Harapan leaders.

Lawyer Khairul Azam Abdul Aziz has urged MACC to probe allegations made in a blog post by a tycoon.
PETALING JAYA:
A lawyer has lodged reports with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) against a Perak Pakatan Harapan MP and a property tycoon over a blog post where the latter admitted to donating millions to the coalition.

In a statement to FMT, Khairul Azam Abdul Aziz said he made the reports today following the tycoon’s “confession” that he made the donation in return for a position with an agency of the Perak state government.

The blog post has since been deleted.

Khairul said the PH leaders – from PPBM, PKR, Amanah, and DAP – who allegedly received these funds must be required to declare their assets.

In the report against the Perak PH leader, who is also a state assemblyman, Khairul said the tycoon claimed in the blog post that he had given RM300,000 to the MP.

The tycoon declined to comment while FMT is still waiting for the PH leader’s response.
