KUALA LUMPUR:
Former finance minister Daim Zainuddin today advised the Pakatan Harapan (PH) government to concentrate on delivering its promises to the people and to leave behind what had happened in the past.

Daim, who headed the Council of Eminent Persons following PH’s win in the May 9 polls, said the new government should stop pointing fingers and blaming the previous administration which ruled the country for 61 years.

“Six months is enough. Now the government needs to concentrate on delivering.

“People know what happened, that’s why they voted the previous government out. So it’s important for them not to repeat similar leadership (mistakes),” he told reporters at the Affin Hwang Capital Conference Series 2018 here today.

He added that the government should work towards restoring confidence among investors so that they would quickly return to the country.
