KULAI: PPBM is undergoing a nationwide restructuring process as it seeks to solve internal problems and strengthen its state chapters.
“We were facing a major problem previously where the party was dissolved temporarily before the last general election,” said PPBM secretary-general Marzuki Yahya.
“As a result, we faced numerous internal problems, especially the problem of missing members, besides the problem of irresponsible groups who tried to sabotage and weaken the party.
“But now, when we are part of the government, we have given them space to redeem and return, to be together with us in the struggle to empower the party and the Malays,” he said at a programme with Johor PPBM members.
Also present was Menteri Besar Osman Sapian, who was today announced as the Johor PPBM chairman.
Marzuki said several other states would see a revamp of their state leaderships.
