Azmin, who is economic affairs minister, added that Umno leaders who felt their party was damaged had every right to quit and join PH to continue serving the people.

He was speaking to reporters after attending the Bual Bicara Muafakat programme with PKR supporters in Bemban here last night.

Also present were PKR vice-presidents Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin and Tian Chua.

At a similar event in Tampin, Negeri Sembilan, later, Azmin announced that the PKR election machinery would meet in Kuala Lumpur on Friday to discuss in detail the preparations for the Port Dickson parliamentary by-election on Oct 13.

He said the meeting was to ensure the smooth running of operations as well as victory for PKR president elect Anwar Ibrahim.
