SHAH ALAM: Former Selangor menteri besar Abu Hassan Omar passed away today following a heart attack. He was 77.
According to his special officer Mohamad Isa Ishak, Abu Hassan died at 8.05pm.
His remains would be brought to his house in Kota Kemuning.
Abu Hassan had complained of chest pain in the afternoon, and was taken to a private hospital here to receive treatment.
He was the 12th menteri besar of Selangor, and led the state from 1997 to 2000.
Abu Hassan leaves behind a wife and four children.
