KUALA LUMPUR: Rembau MP Khairy Jamaluddin has resigned as commander of the 508 Regiment of the Territorial Army.
In a posting on Twitter today, he asked assistant commander of the Reserves Unit, Major General Zainal Abidin M Said to cancel his credentials.
“Thank you to the members of 508AW for the cooperation given to me for almost five years I was Commander,” Khairy, who joined the Territorial Army on Jan 20, 2010, said.
He was appointed commander of the 508 Regiment of the Territorial Army in January 2014.
Khairy was made colonel on Oct 28, 2013, before he was promoted to the post of brigadier-general on Jan 14, 2015.
