Rewcastle-Brown arrived at the court complex at about 9.10am, accompanied by a local man.

She was dressed in black and believed to have headed to the fifth floor of the complex to hear Najib’s proceedings.

The court will decide today on the gag order prohibiting the media from discussing the merits of the charges against Najib, who has pleaded not guilty to seven charges of criminal breach of trust, abuse of power and money laundering.

This is in relation to the RM42 million transferred to his personal bank account from former 1MDB subsidiary SRC International.

His lawyer, Muhammad Shafee Abdullah, had requested the gag order to avoid a “trial by media” and prevent any interference with court proceedings.

Najib arrived at the court complex earlier, at about 8.50am, accompanied by Shafee. A group of his supporters were seen outside the complex, together with his children Mohd Norashman Najib and Nooryana Najwa Najib.
