
“It is his own choice to move out of the position that he was nominated for. The party will decide whether or not there is nepotism or anything else.
“We are all in a position today because people supported us and they want changes. The most important thing is to fulfil our general election promises,” he said when asked on the matter during a press conference in Putrajaya.

He had claimed democracy was “dead” within the party and leaders were handing out political appointments as a way to solidify their influence and power.
Jayakumar said such allegations were to be expected from factions during the current party elections, adding people were more concerned about the effectiveness of the Pakatan Harapan government as a whole.
“The most important thing is to (fulfil) our promises in the GE14 (manifesto) and to bring about changes.
“I don’t think people look into how it is being done. People want it to be done,” he said.
He added that as leaders they should make use of the best situation available to deliver what was pledged in their manifesto.
