KUALA LUMPUR: Mohd Sidek Hassan, whose tenure as Petronas chairman ended last month, has resigned as chairman of both KLCC Property Holdings Bhd (KLCCP) and KLCC Real Estate Investment Trust’s (KLCC REIT) management company, KLCC REIT Management Sdn Bhd.
KLCCP and KLCC REIT – which together comprises KLCCP Stapled Group – said in filings with Bursa Malaysia that his resignation took effect today.
Sidek, 67, was chairman of the national oil and gas corporation for six years until June 30 this year.
Prior to that, he had spent 38 years in the civil service, retiring as chief secretary to the government.
