The senator said she wanted to ensure that it did not clash with the functions of the state executive council.
“Only after meeting the menteri besar will I inform whether I accept or reject the post,” she told FMT. “I am still waiting for details about the job scope.”
On July 6, Faizal had said Siti Aishah would act as a special adviser to assist on issues related to youth in Perak.
He said the appointment was not based on any pressure from anyone as the state leadership had intended to assign her an important role.
Faizal also said that he had personally talked to her and she had agreed to the appointment.
Siti Aishah said she believed that the offer was made to her as a representative of her party and not in her own individual capacity.
She said she needed further information on the role as she would be holding it on behalf of PKR.
“This is a party issue and so the decision on whether I should take the post should also come from the party,” she said, adding that PKR had since given the green light.
Previously, Siti Aishah was reported to have been nominated by PKR for the state assembly speaker’s post before she withdrew, claiming to have been pressured to do so.
The post went to Beruas MP Ngeh Koo Ham, from DAP.
On July 4, state executive councillor Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin apologised to her for any misunderstanding leading to her withdrawal.
