Hanipa, the Amanah MP for Sepang who took his oath of office last week, underwent surgery at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital for a brain haemorrhage in 2016 after collapsing in the middle of a Dewan Rakyat debate.

He was out of action for six months, returning to Parliament in October that year.
He lost consciousness today as Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad was delivering a speech at Dataran Perdana.
Hanipa, who was there together with Deputy Prime Minister Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and other Cabinet members, fell from the stage which was about half a metre high.
The fifty-year-old was still unconscious as paramedics delivered medical aid.
