Car driven in wrong direction causes 5-vehicle crash on MEX highway

PETALING JAYA:
A motorist driving against traffic is said to have caused a five-vehicle crash at Km10.7 of the MEX highway near here today.

A passenger in one of the cars was killed while three others were injured in the incident at 3.30am, NST Online reported.

The report quoted city Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Department chief ACP Zulkefly Yahya as saying after the car being driven in the wrong direction hit another car, it caused a chain reaction with the other vehicles unable to stop in time.

The dead man was identified as a 36-year-old private security guard, Juhan Sabturani, a passenger in one of the cars who suffered severe head injuries.

The driver of the car being driven in the wrong direction was among the injured.
