Malaysia gets Interpol help to track down Musa Aman

The former chief minister left the country in the aftermath of BN's historic defeat last month.

KUALA LUMPUR:
Police have applied to Interpol to issue a red notice for former Sabah chief minister Musa Aman, who is believed to be in the United Kingdom following his defeat in last month’s polls.

Inspector-General of Police Mohamad Fuzi Harun said police are following procedures to track the state Barisan Nasional chairman, who has been the subject of a police report by Sabah governor Juhar Mahiruddin, alleging criminal intimidation by Musa.

On Tuesday, Musa confirmed that he was in the United Kingdom on a private visit and to seek medical treatment.

He had earlier denied reports that he had travelled out of Malaysia illegally, saying he has always used proper immigration channels.
