Hulu Selangor district police chief Supt Lim Bak Phai said the teenager reported at 9am that she found the remains of a boy who was abandoned on a chair behind her home in Bukit Sentosa, Hulu Selangor, near here.

“The teenager claimed to have brought the body back to her house and cleaned it before putting it back in its original place.

“Following an interrogation, the teenager confessed to having made a false report, saying she actually gave birth to the baby by herself at 12.05am in the toilet of her home,” he said in a statement.

He said the teenager had been sent to Selayang Hospital for treatment.

“The arrest will be made after the teenager gets out of the ward,” he said, adding that the case was being investigated under Section 318 of the Penal Code for concealing birth and causing death.
