
PAS information chief Nasrudin Hassan said the meeting would consider all views, opinions and possibilities before any decision is made.
“The principle of ‘Amal Islami’ embraced by PAS in the decision-making process is by way of consultation (syura) and then finalised by the president. The pivot of PAS action is placing Islam above everything else,” he said in a statement here today.
Nasrudin said party president Abdul Hadi Awang, or deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, would issue a statement after the meeting.
The formation of a state government in Kedah and Perak has stalled as none of the parties obtained a simple majority.
Pakatan Harapan (PH) won 18 of the 36 state seats in Kedah, one seat short of the 19 needed for a simple majority. Barisan Nasional (BN) won 15 while PAS won three.
In Perak, where the simple majority required is 30 seats, PH won 29 of the 59 seats, while BN won 27 and PAS three.
