GEORGE TOWN: Getting spam calls? Do not fret. There are apps for Android and Apple devices designed to detect and reject any spam calls to your phone.

TrueCaller is one such app.

The free app allows you to reject numbers from a certain series, such as the US numbers (+1-xxx-xxx) through which many mobile lines in Malaysia were attacked this morning.

Once you have installed TrueCaller, go to its Settings meny, then select Block, click “View my block list” and then hit +, and press “Block a number series”.

Then enter +1 and press next. The plus sign before 1 must be entered. However, you must take note this move will bar all American numbers.
